A man who, reports state, lives both in a Commerce Street house and a tent in the driveway, is being sought by Madison Police Department officers after he allegedly attacked two women who live in the house and fled on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

According to Madison Police Department reports, Joshua David Ludwick, 34, Madison, is wanted on both aggravated assault and battery charges after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend by grabbing her by the neck and shoving her against a chain link fence. Ludwick then, the girlfriend alleged, continued to choke her and kick her in the face.

The woman’s mother said she attempted to stop the attack and Ludwick allegedly punched her in the face “multiple” times.

Officers were called to the residence at noon on Friday, Aug. 12.

Reports state that Ludwick’s girlfriend, who said she and the man had been in a 12-year relationship and have a 4-year-old child together, were arguing after she went outside to talk to him in the tent he “occasionally” sleeps inside. The woman said at the time of the argument Ludwick was in the tent and she went outside to ask why he would not come inside the house.

Another woman inside the residence told authorities that she had witnessed Ludwick grab the woman by the throat and throw her against the fence. She also said she saw him kick the woman in the face.

Reports state that when Ludwick left the residence on the motorcycle, he was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans.

A “Be On The Lookout (BOLO)” has been issued for Ludwick to all surrounding counties, reports state.
